We are looking for retail assistants for our new donated furniture shop in the centre of Wellington.
The shop will provide a service for older people and their families who want to dispose of unwanted furniture and for those people who want to buy good quality furniture at a reasonable price. It also provides the charity with an income that allows us to continue to provide much needed services for local older people.
We are looking for people who enjoy meeting the public and can offer good customer service. You need to enjoy working in a team and be available to do a minimum of one shift a week.
Duties include customer service and sales, cashing up, arranging pick ups and deliveries and keeping the sales area neat and tidy.
Full day and half day shifts available Monday to Saturday. Minimum one half day required. Rotas will be organised by the shop manager. Two references will be required for this role. Volunteers need to be aged 18 years and over and must be able to travel to Wellington Town Centre. Retail experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given and agreed expenses paid. Tasks include customer service, team work, cleaning and tidying.
