Volunteers needed to help to run the Parent and Toddler Group which runs on a Friday morning 10-11.30am (volunteers would need to be there 9.30-12pm)

Our members are men and women of all ages who are keen to use their skills and resources to help other people.

Couples are welcomed and Rotary offers a great way to make new friends and enjoy social activities while helping others.

At worst, you will meet some friendly people and enjoy a pleasant meal. More likely, it will be the first step towards an enjoyable and rewarding future as part of a great club and inspirational organisation.

Arleston Community Centre is a small but very busy community building which is run and managed by volunteers, who took over in November 2016.

The Board of Trustees is currently made up of 11 volunteers who not only manage the day to day running of the centre, but also handle and process booking enquiries, promote what is on offer to the community and keep our new website and social media channels up to date.

We host many annual events and are proud to offer a diverse range of activities for all ages.

Duties to include:

(but not limited to, will depend on skills, interests, and time to be donated)

Assist with inputting data onto our online booking system – Lemon Booking

Create engaging content and support our community Facebook page.

Help to keep our website and busy online calendar up to date.

Help to design a Community Newsletter to be distributed locally.

Assist with developing a digital community noticeboard.

The Youth Offending Service are calling on volunteers to join a community panel, supporting young offenders on a court order to help prevent further offending.

Community Panel Members come from all sections of the local community and no specific educational qualifications are required. It is an important part of the Youth Justice system, and features highly on the Government's agenda.

Responsibilities:
• To meet with a young person on a court order, as part of a Community Panel, negotiate and oversee a contract that will reduce their offending and oversee that contract till its completion, amending, adjusting and if necessary returning the young person to court.
• To attend and participate fully in supervision sessions as required.
• To follow relevant policies and procedures as laid down by the Youth Offending Service in the delivery of the role.
• Panel Members will be expected to commit to panels for a minimum of 12 months by negotiation.
• Panel Meetings will take place at different times during the day and evening at various venues around Hereford Worcestershire and Shropshire.

Training will be provided in conjunction with our mentoring scheme.

Expenses will be reimbursed.
