We have a fantastic opportunity for you to become a Digital Champion and empower individuals to navigate the digital world with confidence by supporting either the Get Connected sessions or weekly drop in support sessions held at Southwater Library.
Telford & Wrekin Council are working to bridge the digital divide and believe that everyone deserves equal access to technology and the opportunities it brings.
Many people are eager to embrace the digital age but may require patience, guidance and support. As a Digital Champion, you will play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide and fostering a sense of empowerment among our residents.
Role:
As a Digital Champion, you will provide one-to-one assistance, work in small groups and guide individuals in acquiring basic digital skills.
Your empathetic nature and ability to connect with others will create a positive learning environment, helping people embrace technology in their everyday lives.

We are seeking volunteers who are familiar with a range of digital technologies e.g. smartphones, tablets, laptops and are confident using your device, the internet, various apps. You don’t need to know everything, the internet can help us find the answers! Do you have a strong sense of empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference? Previous experience working with people or teaching/training experience would be an advantage but is not essential. If you love meeting new people and are able to use your device confidently and show someone else how to use there device
