Volunteer Telford

Role:

Are you looking for a new volunteering opportunity? Do you care about improving maternity and neonatal services in your community? Can you spare at least 1 hour a month?

We need volunteers for the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Your role will be to meet new parents and families, listen to their experiences, and help us make maternity and neonatal care better.

Time Commitment:

Minimum of 1 hour per month (flexible).

The social club is offering opportunities which are open to all but we would love to hear from the 50+ and who are looking to carry out some practical activity during the week.

The activities will take place on a Thursday morning between 10am and 12 noon undertaking minor repairs around the site, low level painting internally and externally couple with light weight pruning, weeding, car-park clearance, litter picking and fence painting.

By becoming a Story Starter volunteer you will give a child in a local early years setting/nursery the skills to start primary school ready to read. You’ll open up their lives to the magic of stories and provide crucial language development in a way which is fun for both you and the child!

How does it work?

As a Story Starter you will support three children aged 3-5 years' old on a one-to-one basis, using play and stories to develop and enrich their use of language.

You’ll need to commit to volunteering at a local nursery for one hour, twice a week during nursery hours.

You’ll receive professional training and support to ensure that you are best able to support young children and feel comfortable in a modern nursery setting.

Wellington orbit are looking for Cinema Steward volunteers.

Role:

- Checking tickets

- Escorting people to seats

- Helping in servery as required

- Using a App on a Tablet to scan tickets

- Talking to customers

- Upselling what we are and have here

Cinema Steward shifts are around 1 hour around the start of the performance times so

11 am show will be 10.30 – 11.30

2.30pm show will be 2.00 – 3.00

7pm show will be 6.30 - 7.30

5 days a week but we will be increasing to 7 day screenings at the end of September 2021
