Opportunity Description
Volunteers needed to work alongside the Community Development Worker on a NEW project within the Army Welfare Service in Telford. This project is the AWS Donnington Youth Forum and is aimed at young people aged 10-16 years.
The team is looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to work with young people aged 10 years+ who have parents/carers who work in the military (or have previously served or who are reservists)
The main focus of this work is to look at what youth provision or activities they would like to see in the area and help to shape services.
This will be the beginning of the work- then going into providing what provision is planned.
Likely to be a Wednesday 5.30-7.00pm. Project due to start in September 2024
Requirements
Volunteers will need to go through an Enhanced DBS.
Volunteers will need to be good communicators
Work in an open and honest way and have a good sense of humour.
Most importantly, volunteers will need an enthusiastic and genuine approach to working with young people and listening to their views
