We seek volunteers for our active YOUTH network of young volunteers - a group for younger residents of Telford and Wrekin, to make their voice on health and social care issues heard, and a club for younger people and children.
You may already be a volunteer with another organisation - we welcome volunteers who are willing to share their time, skills, and enthusiasm within the community.
As a young person you may want opportunities to get involved during the school holidays, or with a small project, that will help provide referenceable experience for your college/university applications, or job seeking.
We seek young volunteers (school age, and above) who are interested in the health and care issues of younger people, to learn about the work we do and the opportunities we have for them to become involved with the work of Healthwatch. This may include leading or participating on project work around health and care issues affecting young people. YOUTH volunteers can help to ensure that Healthwatch is aware of issues affecting children and young people, and advise on content and style of our website and printed materials for young people. YOUTH volunteers may support Healthwatch engagement activities to help gather the views and experiences of Telford and Wrekin young people.
YOUTH meetings occur every Thursday. Get in touch with us to find out more if you are interested. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses available - Pizza's sometimes provided at Club meetings!
You may already be a volunteer with another organisation - we welcome volunteers who are willing to share their time, skills, and enthusiasm within the community with more than one organisation.
