Volunteer Telford

Service Delivery Volunteers work alongside our staff teams to provide support to victims of crime helping them to move beyond crime via emotional and practical support both face to face and online.

Approx. 3hrs per week

General Committee Members

The general committee work is shared amongst the committee members as well as delegated work. In addition to being jointly responsible for all the decision taking, members of the committee will ensure that the following work will be done:

Keep all member families in touch with activities, events and news by means of the notice board, newsletters and other letters to parents and carers.

Ensure that they volunteer to help on the parent rota regularly, if appropriate.

Be involved with fund-raising and fund finding for the setting. Feeding this information back to the committee. In some cases working alongside the manager in completing and submitting the paperwork for grant applications on behalf of the setting.

In consultation with committee members and staff buy new equipment for the setting. Staff members however should ensure that equipment is clean, safe and maintained regularly.

Ensure that the setting is a safe place for everyone.

Welcome new families to the setting and those who join the committee.

Assist with the annual review of policies and procedures and provide feedback if necessary.

Assist with updating information for new families.

Help organise outings, parties and events within the setting.

If all of the work involved in the management and day-to-day running of the setting is shared then more members will understand how everything is organised, will gain new skills and, most importantly, be providing a very worthwhile, quality education and childcare service for their local community.

It is worth remembering being involved in voluntary work looks good on your C.V and for future employment!

We are a charity working with adults with learning disabilities and autism. We are about to move out of our traditional day centre into the community based at our new hub at Blists Hill Museum.

It’s a brilliant venue but in need of some TLC. Could you help the adults we support as they turn this building into an exciting and vibrant hub?!

Can you garden, paint or bake,do you have wood working skills or maybe you’re an artist who could help with a mural?

Why we need your help:

Financial administration is a vital operation in a busy office.  As a Financial Administrator you will have a great eye for detail and a head for figures to help us carry out our day to day financial processes and other administrative tasks.  You will need to help to make sure all donated money is banked, recorded and receipted accurately so that it can be put to good use in providing support.

What we need you to do:

- Prepare donations for banking.

- Keep a record of donations.

- Manage associated paperwork, such as counting forms and letters from donors.

- Check banking paperwork received from volunteers in the community for accuracy.

- Maintain the database.
