Shropshire Youth Association (SYA) work across both unitary council areas in Shropshire. We support voluntary youth clubs and organisations as well as running youth projects and clubs in partnership with others and on our own.
We have volunteer vacancies based at "The Hub on the Hill", Sutton Hill, Telford and Brookside Youth Club, Where we work in partnership with Sutton Hill community trust and Stirchley & Brookside Parish council. More opportunities to volunteer at youth clubs will be opening in Telford soon.
We are looking for adults who are comfortable listening to and talking to young people (Teenagers), as well as being able to run and join in with activities in the club, these are simple things like cooking, table tennis, skipping, knitting and anything else that engages young people.
We offer a good training and support package and can pay volunteer expenses. Successful volunteers who complete our Level 2 & 3 training are eligible to apply for paid youth work jobs in the charity and wider community
We are a DBS umbrella organisation and offer a range of training courses around safeguarding and youth work to enable people to work safely with children and young people.
