Our ambition is to improve even more lives through activities based around our incredible team of horses and ponies, increase our work with volunteers, partners and supporters to benefit the community and become a centre of excellence for wellbeing and equestrianism to be enjoyed by all.

Site Maintenance Volunteer

Responsibilities

The role of a Site Maintenance Volunteer is to undertake various tasks to keep the entire site in good order. The volunteer may work on their own or as part of a small team. Typical tasks might include:

Cutting grass

Weeding

Repairing fencing

Painting

Putting up hooks / shelves

Repairing equipment

Harrowing the arena

Support & Training

All volunteers undergo basic training when they start their role. Ongoing training opportunities are provided both through the Centre and through external providers.

An enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude Practical skills Experience of using tools would be useful Able to work independently on an appropriate task Able to work as part of a team as and when needed Able to follow instructions from the Centre Manager or Yard Manager Work safely following guidance given Be flexible about your role
