Cash Desk Volunteer

Could you be the friendly face of your local British Heart Foundation shop in Wellington, with support around you and full training provided, you will be processing sales through the till as a cashier, talking to customers and thanking every donor - helping us continue to fund lifesaving research.

This is a customer focussed role where you will meet and interact with a wide range of people.

We can reimburse reasonable travelling expenses and we provide tea, coffee and biscuits. You will also be able to get a 25% discount on donated goods, and get access to an online discounts platform and virtual GP.

We are open 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday

Our minimum age to volunteer is 17, but we can accept 16-year-olds through our work experience opportunity.

The Telford Repair café is a volunteer organisation protecting and safeguarding the environment for the public benefit through the promotion of repair and re-use of products as a means of preventing and minimising waste. 

We currently move around community sites in Telford offering the opportunity for people to come along with items for repair and for our volunteers to understand if or how they can be repaired often leading to a repair there and then.

We have many volunteer opportunities that only take up 3-4 hours a month, providing a chance to make a real difference to communities and the environment.  

We are looking for volunteers with repair skills whether in sewing, electrical, IT or just someone who likes to be challenged by a need for something to work or be functional again. 

Alternatively you might be someone wanting to develop your skills through watching and being mentored by other volunteer repairers.     

We are also looking for people that can give a few hours a month to admin, registration, volunteer support or marketing all of these roles being valuable to the future success of the Telford Repair Cafe.

AFC Telford are looking to recruit more volunteers to help on match days at the Telford Ground.

Would you like to be part of a friendly team of volunteers, and can you spare a few hours on Saturdays and sometimes during the week, for home games only?

Not every game requires a full steward crew and there are occasions when we need people to cover illness etc. for our regular staff; if you can’t commit to every game don’t worry, once we have a full team, others can cover you once in a while so we can be flexible.

AFC Stewards

Matchday stewards are an important part of ensuring that the New Bucks Head Stadium is a safe and friendly environment to watch football and other events.

Time requirement: 5 hrs on Saturdays and some weekday evenings.

Full training will be given, and you will be supported by your supervisor and team.

Local homelessness organisation, Maninplace are in need of friendly people to help customers to search for training and employment opportunities and help them to access any that are suitable.
